Soil Logic uses a number of key ingredients to blend the best fertilisers for every situation. Each mineral has its own key characteristic that makes it an important part of any mix
- Calcium is the most important mineral in the soil trucking all minerals to plant
- Boron (the steering wheel) should always be added with calcium
- Phosphorus ( the Fuel of Life ) is essential for vigorous early root growth, effective pollination and seed formation.
- Magnesium is the basis of chlorophyll turning sunlight into energy in the plants engine room.
- Nitrogen is the most abundant nutrient required for plant growth.
- Sulphur is the fourth major nutrient in terms of plant requirements converting nitrates into amino acids playing a role in the formation of chlorophyll.
- Potassium is the cellular spark plug and is only second in terms of quantity taken up by plant.
- Manganese is responsible for the correct functioning of chloroplasts
- Iron governs the movement of magnesium into the chlorophyll
- Zinc is essential for phosphorous up take and plays a role in the formation of chlorophyll
- Copper protects from fungal disease and increases uptake of nitrogen.
